Pierre du Plessis analyses trends and observes the flow of the world in order to engineer appropriate reactions. He takes existing information, and packages it so that we know what to do with it in future. This helps businesses navigate risk and be more productive. It also helps people to simply live better in this fluid world, because, according to Pierre, “information is useless unless you can react to it.”
From fashion designer to stylist to speaker to trendspotter to theology student to creative director, Pierre du Plessis is a man who wears many (very stylish, we presume) hats. He has worked in advertising, fashion, and trends for the last 15 years. He currently does work as brand curator for the SABS Design Institute, writes for Fluxtrends, gives talks, consults, writes, and reads… A lot.
He has done more than 400 talks. He has shopped for about 9000 hours. He likes whisky, and hates processed cheese. He lives, proudly, in Pretoria with his wife, two kids, his iPhone, and his beard.
